The Bow motor 2 also has low power consumption compared to other commonly used motors such as the Warn XP 6HP unit. The Bow motor 2 is a very resilient motor and favours \"over-volting\" (this is when 24v is run through 12v motors). This motor does not like to stand still and will be damaged if this happens. The motor has an 'O' ring seal on the end cap to make it waterproof, and we recommend sealing the F1, F2 and A connections with silicone sealant when mounting. These motors feature heavy copper armature windings, welded with copper to the commutator, with highly efficient roller bearings at each end.
