The price quoted is for a set consisting of two drive shafts and pre-lubricated homokinets
Factory axles are designed with a 31-spline from the differential side and only have 27-spline
on the homokinet s side, which is a weak point and a common defect. RCV axles are
equipped with a 30-spline on the high-performance homokine side, which is made of 300M steel to
eliminate weaknesses and cope with maximum torque. On the differential side, this is
model axles equipped with a 33-spline - this requires the use of a rear lock in the
front differential required (OEM or ARB replacement with RD135 code). A galvanic
anti-corrosion coating is standard, or optional nickel plating for extra corrosion resistance in a salty
environment.
Tests confirm that the top-of-the-range RCV axles are twice as strong as the original ones, both in
terms of longitudinal as well as transverse load resistance. This is supported by a
lifetime "No Questions Asked" warranty for breakage/tear of joint and shaft. The set is
produced entirely in the US at the Rockford plant.
Even if you have big wheels and a powerful engine, you no longer have to worry about the
strength of drive shafts. Top quality RCV driveshafts require minimal maintenance and
